Two Harbors man gets prison for shooting into ex-girlfriend’s house

A Two Harbors man was sentenced to three years in prison for firing two loads from a 12-gauge shotgun into his ex-girlfriend’s house while she was inside. With good behavior, William James Holisky II, 56, could be released from prison to supervised release after serving 24 months.

A huddle of children from KIDS & Co. take a curbside seat on Wednesday to watch the continuing demolition of the former Two Harbors High School. Jody Zastera, who directs KIDS & Co., said they make a trip over here every couple days because the children are fascinated by the big equipment.

As the walls of the old high school came tumbling down, a little surprise surfaced. "It doesn't have as much steel as we expected," said superintendent Phil Minkkinen.

Board skeptical of KRLSD decision

Not so fast. The decision by the Knife River Larsmont Sanitary (KRLSD) board to return levy money will be getting a closer look by Lake County Attorney Russ Conrow. The Lake County Board asked him Tuesday to provide an opinion about whether the district can legally do so.

Council to offer city administrator job to Silver Bay native

After months of searching, Silver Bay may have finally found a new city administrator. On Monday night, the city council moved to offer the job to Lana Fralich of Silver Bay. During the meeting, the council convened a closed session to discus the wording of the employment contract.
