Songs of the sea have long entertained sailors and landlubbers, but soon Lake Countians will have an opportunity to hear music about bodies of water closer to home. Lee Murdock, a historical folk singer, is coming to Two Harbors next week to perform songs about the Great Lakes. Performing up to 150 shows every year, Murdock travels for performances throughout the Great Lakes region, as well as the rest of the United States and Canada. Roger Anderson, a fan of Murdock for over 30 years, arranged the performance.
Two Harbors musician Rachel Nelson will come together with her 3 of Cups bandmates (including Madison singer/songwriter Tracy Comer) this weekend in Duluth. PLUS: A "reprint" of Perrine's last feature on Nelson, which appeared in the Budgeteer in 2008.
