The Minnesota Department of Agriculture will be using an aerial application of biological insecticide and mating disruption flakes (pheromones) to eradicate gypsy moths in several areas of Lake County this summer.
As the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) and partner organizations plan to tackle gypsy moth infestations in northeastern Minnesota, the department is inviting people to learn about the effort at informational meetings March 1-2.
As a resident of Two Harbors and as one who appreciated life along our beautiful North Shore, I don’t often find myself voicing complaints; however, the recent spraying for the dreaded gypsy moth has given me reason to complain.
