I would like to say “thank you” to the News-Chronicle and all its staff for presenting and representing a voice formerly unheard in this small town of ours: a voice of resistance and the ability to speak up to someone in power.
I have lived here all my life and must say that I seldom go to city hall, as I have never had a positive experience there. If I could find a councilor, they don’t want to discuss issues and tell me to talk to (City Administrator) Lee Klein.
Lake County Commissioner Paul Bergman’s commentary in the last week’s News-Chronicle on revenues received from utility line easements brought to mind the revenues the county does receive, though in a more roundabout fashion.
