Fremont takes Agate tourney 
Duluth golfer Ross Fremont carded a final nine-hole round of 36 to capture the 2010 Agate City Classic title Sunday, three shots better than top local golfer Casey Salakka. Ninety-six golfers participated in the combination stroke-play match-play format.

Golf scramble raises money
More than 70 golfers took advantage of beautiful weather on the North Shore to participate in the 11th annual Agate Hockey Golf Scramble July 23 at Lakeview National. The event raised $2,500 for the Two Harbors hockey program.
