Adopt a pet
There are three dogs and 12 cats looking for homes and the shelter is always in need of donations to cover care.
The Lake County Animal Shelter is located at 415 20th Ave. in Two Harbors and is open 9-11 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday’ 5-7 p.m. Wednesdays; and 1-3 p.m. Saturdays. Call 834-5806 to make an after-hours appointment.

Lake County Fair news: March 12
The theme for this year’s Lake County Fair, scheduled for Aug. 12-15, is “Pride in a Free America,” with the closing Sunday being called Armed Forces Day. Thursday is Senior Day, Friday is Kids Day, and Saturday is devoted to the 4-H Horse Show.
