Mr. Johnson's opus spreads Christmas joy around the world
Daryl Johnson has been conducting choirs since the 1950s. Thirty-two of those years have been in Two Harbors, at the high school and in the community. He has taught and directed generations of students — some of whom are now in their 60s — and he shows no signs of slowing down.

Katie Geissler, a 2013 Associate in Applied Science degree candidate at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, is about a month from completing her internship at Tettegouche State Park. She’s working with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Parks and Trails Division and began her internship in May; she’ll be done on Oct. 21.

At age 83, Karl Aho of Two Harbors decided it was time to take the plunge. Sunday, Aug 26, he did it. Aho, who is already a pilot, an author, an artist, a craftsman, gardener, husband, father and grandfather celebrated his 83rd birthday by adding “skydiver” to his list of titles.
