On Faith: Remember the true significance of the Cross
If you were to ask your average fellow citizen about the significance of the cross, you might hear something about an innocent man being persecuted and sentenced for crimes he did not commit. You might hear that He was a model for all who stand up for their beliefs. Many people know only the bare facts of the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth and its violation of human justice. But many seem to miss the point that there may have been a purpose, an accomplishment at the cross, that we needed Jesus to die on the cross.

Finding Cricket
Ten years ago this week, Susan Fedorko answered her phone and ended a 22-year search. On the other end of the line was her younger half-sister — someone she had never met. Both were daughters of a model, if not supermodel, who graced the covers of Vogue, Harpers and other magazines, but started her career after giving up her older daughter for adoption.

On Faith: Transformed
George Homes, a British pastor and my homiletics instructor once said, “Nature forms us, education informs us, sin deforms us, and society tries to reform us- but only Christ can transform us.” The transforming power of Jesus Christ is evident in the lives of the billions who have been touched and changed by the Gospel.
