Passed away peacefully on May 1, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was 87. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Helen Duffy; parents, Francis Tenner Murphy, Edward L. Murphy Sr. and May McGinnis Murphy, his in-laws, Helen Cox Duffy and Harry Duffy; sisters Genevieve Maas; Dorothie (Dori) Fellows; and Althea Nelson. Brothers- in-law William Maas, Gray Fellows and James L. Nelson Sr. He is survived by children Laurie Murphy of St. Paul; Richard T.
