Viola Luella Ojala, 95, passed away Wednesday, July 3, in her home in Babbitt.
Viola was born Aug. 16, 1917, to Olga and Olaf Bakken in Proctor. She liked drawing cartoon characters, playing cards and loved going to Tank’s Bar.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Towers; second husband Eino Ojala; daughter Janice Johnson; three brothers; and two sisters.
Viola is survived by her children, Betty (Larry) Nihart and their children, Cindy Brown, Curtis Nihart and Candis (Mike) Nihart, Stanley (Mary) Towers and their children, Tammy (Dexter) Fitzpatrick and Ardon (Heather) Towers, Sharon (John) Wedlund and their children, Everett and Bradley Wedlund, and Linda (Lorne) Hedin and their son, Lorne (Michelle) Hedin Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Tank’s Bar.
