Laura A. Fenner

Laura Fenner, 80, Two Harbors, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 27 at home.

She was born Oct. 15, 1932, to Arthur and Anna (Sazama) Bredow in Colby, Wisc. She moved to Two Harbors in 1952 and married Harold “Shorty” Fenner in 1954. Laura was employed for many years at Agate Cleaners and Laundromat, Leksell Bakery and Liberty Café. She stopped working to raise her daughters and later worked as a cook at Highway Host Restaurant in Duluth, as a hospitality host at the Lake County Tourist Information Center and as a housekeeper at Cooperative Light and Power.

Laura was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years. She was also a member of Harbor Mates, Knife River Valley Club and Silver Creek Ladies Aide.

She enjoyed baking, gardening, and visiting, baking for and helping elderly friends and neighbors.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold “Shorty” Fenner.

Laura is survived by her daughters Luanne (Lyle) Ellingsen of Two Harbors and Diane Mozol of Duluth; four grandsons, Lee and Lon Ellingsen and Chad and Jason Mozol; and her twin sister, Louise Dunder of Two Harbors.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the 11 a.m. service on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery. To sign the on-line register book please visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.

So sorry to read of the passing of Laura. I so enjoyed getting to know her during the Sliver Sneakers classes. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. God Bless Bunny & Frank Thomson
