Victor Lee Meinecke, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather entered rest on Jan. 15, at the age of 78. He was born Dec. 30, 1934 to Victor Lee and Jesse Juanita Meinecke in Hale County, Texas.
Vic was a career pilot, working with Eastern Airlines for 30 years. Until 2012, he and his wife Ina lived in Beaver Bay for 16 years, and were active members of their beloved community.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ina (Owen) Meinecke; sons Mark Anthony Meinecke and wife Judy, and Steven Lee Meinecke and wife Kay; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a brother, Tom Meinecke. A memorial service was held Jan. 20 at Sunset Funeral Home, San Antonio.
