William E. “Bill” Koski

William E. “Bill” Koski, 90, of Two Harbors died Tuesday, Jan. 15, at home.

He was born on Feb. 7, 1922, to Hjalmer and Rosa (Silander) Koski in Kinney, Minn. Bill graduated from Buhl High School and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Mildred Garson in 1948 and worked as an aircraft mechanic for North East Airways in Eveleth until 1959. Bill and Mildred moved to Bloomington in 1960, where he was employed at Honeywell International in Flight Operations until retiring in 1985. Since his retirement he has made his home in Two Harbors.

Bill enjoyed fishing and deer hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Veikko, who was killed during WWII at the Battle of the Bulge.

William is survived by wife, Mildred; sons Bill and Bob of Two Harbors; grandson, Ryan (Mandy) of Brooklyn Park; great-grandsons Ashton and Kaleb; and good friend and neighbor Fred Kallio.
