Marie R. Koshier, 99, Two Harbors, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Ecumen Scenic Shores.

She was born May 23, 1913, to Roscoe and Georgianna (Babin) Asher in Two Harbors. Marie grew up in Two Harbors and was employed as a housekeeper and cook for 17 years for Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors and as a cook at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Duluth for 10 years until retiring in 1987. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Marie is preceded in death by parents and brothers, Roscoe, Everett, Lloyd, Elmer, and Orville; and sisters, Leota and Lorraine.

She is survived by daughters, Valerie Lukander of Roswell, N.M. and Georgianna Bell of Alma, Wisc; brother, Howard Asher of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Sis was such a good friend to my Mother and I always enjoyed her company when I was home for a visit. Mom gave me some of the projects Sis made over the years and I think of her often when I put them out, especially at Christmas.
