Iza D. Hedin, 88, of Two Harbors, died Sunday, Nov. 25, at St. Luke’s Hospital.
She was born July 8, 1924, to Bror and Ida (Gullickson) Carlson in Pine City, where she grew up and attended schools until moving to Two Harbors for her last year of high school. She was employed at the Scandinavian Mercantile and Lindgren’s Grocery for several years. After her marriage to Chester C. Hedin on Dec. 21, 1946, she was a homemaker through the years.
Iza was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, a Bible study group, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Lakeview Women’s Golf Club, and a sewing club. She enjoyed dancing, skiing, snowmobiling, traveling, and home decorating.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years, Chester; her loving daughter, Barbara Ann Hedin and several nieces and nephews.
