Paul Carl Stanko

Paul Carl Stanko, 81, of Two Harbors, passed away Saturday, Nov.10 at Ecumen Nursing Home.

Paul was born on March 4, 1931, in Blackduck, Minn. He married Lydia Rose Shingler on May 7,1955.

He served in the United States Army for two years and did a tour of duty in Korea. He was retired from Reserve Mining Company. Paul enjoyed hunting, spending time at the hunting shack and with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia, a son, Michael, brothers Tom, Rudy, John and sisters Ann, Margaret, Mary, Helen and Narciss.

He is survived by his son, David (Jackie) Stanko, and grandchildren, Michael and Nicole; brother, Dan (Delores) Stanko, and a sister, Dorothy Chovan, all of Minneapolis.

Visitation: 11 a.m. until the 12 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Nov.14 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Two Harbors, Minn.

Arrangements entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota in Duluth.
