Mary A. Ogren, 76, of Oakdale, MN, formerly of Duluth, passed away July 18, 2012.
Mary A. Ogren, 76, of Oakdale, MN, formerly of Duluth, passed away July 18, 2012.
She worked for the University of Minnesota-Duluth for 28 years and enjoyed volunteering as a tax preparer in her retirement. She cherished walks with friends, playing bridge and attending the performances and sporting events of her five grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by first husband, Vern Avenson, daughter Dawn and parents Melvin and Mildred Moe. She is survived by loving husband, Robert, children Andy (Jane) and Jennifer (John Dehn). Her five grandchildren were the light of her life: Daniel, Carley, and Tomy Ogren and Sophia and August Ogren-Dehn. She is also survived by sister Judy Zogus and brothers John, Ron and Aaron Moe.
A service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at noon, July 30 at Woodbury Lutheran, 7380 Afton Road, Woodbury, Minn. Please join us for a gathering of friends and family beginning one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the Duluth Salvation Army, or the Hazelden Foundation.
