Robert Ingram, 80, of Babbitt, formerly of Little Marais, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay.
Robert Ingram, 80, of Babbitt, formerly of Little Marais, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay.
He was born November 14, 1931, in Big Falls, Minn. He served in the Army in the 143rd Tank Battalion in Germany and Korea. He worked as a maintenance foreman at Reserve Mining until his retirement in 1986.
Bob was a member of the VFW, Moose Lodge, and Zion Lutheran Church.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper, and loved spending time with his family.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Catherine; mother Dorothea Olson; step-father Erhardt Olson; sister Donna; and brother-in-law Chet Mann.
He is survived by children Stephen (Kay) Ingram of Silver Bay, Sherry (Cary) Pokorny of Aurora, Marty (Brenda) Ingram of Barnum, JoDee (Kenny) Frank of Babbitt, Cynthia (John) Undesser of Bristol, Ill.; grandchildren Danielle (John) Ingram Horsch, Nathan Ingram, Rachel (Andrew) Ingram Schatz, Jennifer (Chris) Setter, Kelliann Frank, Ryan (Crystal ) Pokorny, Amber Pokorny, Connor Ingram, and Hattie Undesser; great-grandchildren Madi, Jack, William, Alexus, McKenzie, Taylor, and Alyana; sister Ethel Mae Mann; very special friend Anita Johnson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A service was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church in Finland followed by a burial at Sawtooth Mountain Cemetery. To sign the online guestbook please go to www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
