Marie E. Peterson, 99, of Silver Bay, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.
Marie E. Peterson, 99, of Silver Bay, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.
She was born April 18, 1912, in Sentinel Butte, N.D., to Fremont G. and Ethel F. (Wait) Curtis. Marie married Julian Torgerson in 1928 and he died in 1937. She married Clifford Peterson in 1960, and he died in 1979. She was a good mother, who was always there for us even after we were grownups, and with all of our children. We have many good memories of her. We will miss you, Mom, very much.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her children, Marion Kainz of Ely, Cameron Torgerson of Silver Bay, Janet Sisko of Killeen, Texas, and Audrey (LeRoy) Krier of Pine Island, Minn.; stepdaughter, Carol; grandchildren, Bruce (Lois) Kainz, Debra (David) Cherne, Brian (Kathy) Kainz, Tim (Susie) Kainz, Jody (Therese) Kainz, Tommy Kainz, Dean (Becky) Torgerson, Don Torgerson, Danny (Svetlana) Torgerson, David (Lanell) Torgerson, Justin Sisko, Damian (Laury) Sisko, Marcus (Bonnie) Sisko, Troy Krier, Theresa Krier, Tammy Krier, and Judy Krier; many great and great-great grandchildren; two great-great-great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; sister, Irma Juvrud; brother, Chester Curtis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was greatly loved by her family.
