Kenneth J. Dufault, 71, of Beaver Bay, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

Kenneth J. Dufault, 71, of Beaver Bay, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

Kenny was born on February 15, 1940, to Joseph and Clarice (Boivert) Dufault in Lambert Township, Minn. He enlisted in the Marines and served overseas for three years. He returned home and married Beverly Hollom, and they moved to Silver Bay. Kenny worked in the concentrator at Reserve Mining for 25 years, retiring in 1985. He then worked as a custodian for William Kelley High School and enjoyed working at the sawmill and doing cement work. Kenny was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Beaver Bay Volunteer Fire Department and the VFW. He enjoyed playing cribbage, pool, crossword puzzles, sitting in the sun, and spending time with friends and family.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents; wife Beverly; brothers, Alphie, George, and Raymond; and sisters, Eleanor, Denage, and Lorraine.

He is survived by his daughter, Tonja (Craig) Fultz; son Joe (Gina) Dufault; son-in-law, Dennis Fultz; grandchildren, Tyson, Marissa, and Tanner; sisters, Helen (Louie) Pfeffer, Teri Chmielewski, Bernice Spacek, and Antoinette (Roland) Varin; brothers, Jerome (Mary) Dufault, Lawrence (Madeline) Dufault, and Willard (Irene) Langlois; great-granddaughter, Eva Foltz, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from noon until the 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Silver Bay. Burial will be in Beaver Bay Cemetery. To sign the online guestbook please go to www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
