Josephine Gertrude Bacon (Koenig) passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at 2:15 p.m. at Ecumen Senior Care in Two Harbors.
Josephine Gertrude Bacon (Koenig) passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at 2:15 p.m. at Ecumen Senior Care in Two Harbors.
Jo was born, October 15, 1909, in New Home, N.D. Jo loved life, people, and her Lord. She was a great baker and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, flower arranging, and sewing. She also enjoyed teaching her children and grand-children those gifts.
She is preceded in death by husband, Al Bacon, and granddaughter Pamela Jo Evans.
Jo is survived by her eight children: Lois, Ed, Bill, Charlotte, Ellen, Delores, Kathy, and Dennis.
She has 29 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, and 45 great-great-grandchildren. Jo was loved by everyone who met her. She will be missed.
Visitation was from 12:30 p.m. until the 1:30 p.m. service on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. To sign the online guestbook, please visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
