Donald Gauche of Mansfield, Ohio, died Aug. 18, 2010, in his home, with his devoted wife at his side. He was 84.

Born March 28, 1926, in Duluth, he was the son of Paul P. and Bernice (Quinn) Gauche, and graduated from Two Harbors High School.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 535 in Bellville and VFW Post 5101 in Lexington.

For 30 years, he worked as an electronics engineer with ITT in Galion.

Don was a charter member of Resurrection Parish, who served as an usher for four decades and only recently retiring. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 8357.

He is survived by his wife, Apolonia “Loni” (Gerich) Gauche, whom he married June 13, 1964. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn Gauche and Richard Gauche.

He is buried at Lexington Cemetery.
