Sonja Jonasson, 55, was born in Sweden and resided in Two Harbors. She died Aug. 1, 2010, surrounded by her family’s love.
Sonja was a believer in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and is now home in heaven with Him and her daughter Tina. Her family finds great peace in that she is no longer suffering with the long-term pain which she so courageously endured, knowing that God would not give her more than she could bear, and that He would take her when her work on Earth was accom- plished.
She is survived by her parents, Ernst Georg and Randi Jonasson; daughter, Carin Koenig; grandchildren, Noah and Olivia Koenig; sister, Linea Jonasson Wirtjes; brother Ernst Roger (Dale) Jonasson; nieces, Nicole (Jason) Miller and Morgenray Wirtjes; nephews, Axel Wirtjes, Eric, Nils Conrad, and Peter Jonasson, as well as second nephew Landon Miller.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. today at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 2014 Seventh Ave., Two Harbors.
