Bruce Quist

Bruce W. Quist, 66 of Two Harbors and Coyote Lake, died last Friday (June 25, 2010) surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bruce W. Quist, 66 of Two Harbors and Coyote Lake, died last Friday (June 25, 2010) surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bruce was born June 22, 1944, to John and Olga (Magnuson) Quist in Two Harbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bob.

He is survived by his beloved wife Suzie, daughters Sherri (Tim) Larson and Eddi (Chris) Bangsund both of Two Harbors; sisters Florence Koss of Two Harbors and Nancy (Al) Aldinger of Lancaster, Texas; stepsons Todd (Joni) Thomas and Tony (Sheila) Thomas; grandchildren Calli, Lars, David, Bobbi and Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.

Bruce had a great love of life and had many friends who have the greatest of memories.

He spent much of his life at Coyote Lake, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his swing.

There will be a private service followed by a celebration of his life to be announced.

Even in his final pain he was friendly and sharing to anyone visiting him. He was always ready and willing to share whatever he had, with you, at any time of the day or night. Even those who never knew him benefited from his generosity, in keeping his end of the Drummond open and usable in the winter months. He leaves a big hole in his community. tom koehler
