Betty D. Lundgren
he was born April 28, 1952 to Kenneth and Bertha (Parent) Graden in Two Harbors, where she was a life-long resident. After graduating from high school in 1970 she worked as a beautician for several years, and as a nursing assistant at Lake View Memorial Hospital.
Betty D. Lundgren 58, of Two Harbors, died Thursday June 17, 2010 surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born April 28, 1952 to Kenneth and Bertha (Parent) Graden in Two Harbors, where she was a life-long resident. After graduating from high school in 1970 she worked as a beautician for several years, and as a nursing assistant at Lake View Memorial Hospital. After graduating from St Luke’s School of Nursing in 1986 she was employed as a registered nurse at the Sunrise Home in Two Harbors until her illness.
Betty was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and joyfully sponsored an elderly woman in Peru. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, knitting, and time with her family and grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Tammy.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John; sons, Shawn (Marci) of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Jesse (Becca Reitan) of Two Harbors; daughters, Sarah , Katie, and Debi, all of Two Harbors; grandchildren, Justin, Talia, Shelby, Brianna, Jake, Chloe, Hank, Savannah, and Lola; a brother, Jim Graden; and sisters, Kathy (Dennis) Anderson, Mary Johnson, and Patti (Doug) Ohlund all of Two Harbors; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Paige; and long-time friend Judy Anderson.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. To sign the online register book go to www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
