CAROL V. BROWN

She was born February 14, 1933 in Aitkin. Carol grew up in the Aitkin area, and graduated from Aitkin High School. She married David Brown on October 25, 1951. They moved to Taconite Harbor and then to Silver Bay.

Carol V. Brown, 77, of Two Harbors died Friday, March 12, 2010 in Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, surrounded by her family.

She was born February 14, 1933 in Aitkin. Carol grew up in the Aitkin area, and graduated from Aitkin High School. She married David Brown on October 25, 1952. They moved to Taconite Harbor and then to Silver Bay. Carol was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, rummage sales, working in her flower garden, and spending time with her family.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, John and Vina Pearson; her husband David in 1999, an infant son Michael, and half-sister, Donna.

She is survived by her children, William (Cindy) Brown of Silver Bay, Nancy (Kermit) Weeks of Park Rapids, Cathy Georges of Two Harbors, Diann (Joel) Carlson of Gilbert; sisters, Beverly (Chuck) Heins of Aitkin, Lois Ruud of Mora; brother, Larry (Mary Lou) Pearson of Champlin, Minn; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, her beloved dog Sammy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the 1 PM Service, Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church in Silver Bay. Burial will be at Sawtooth Mt. Cemetery. Arrangements by Cavallin Funeral Home.
