Alberta Paquette

Alberta Paquette, 80, of Silver Bay, died peacefully in the loving presence of her family Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, after a brief illness at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.

She was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Minneapolis, the daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Vaughn) Jepson.

Alberta was a devoted wife and mother, an excellent seamstress, avid rose garden er, and a fine cook. She was also an active member of the Silver Bay Garden Club and the Red Hat Society.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Mark, and stepfather, Ernest Martin.

Alberta is survived by her beloved husband Vernon, with whom she was married for nearly 60 years, and her sons, Gordy, Tim (Marina), and Tom (Laurie), all of the Twin Cities area. She is also sur-vived by her grandchildren, Amie, Christopher, Carrie (Joe Speltz), Nicole, Justin, and Joshua.

A Mass of Christian Burial was performed Monday, at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Silver Bay. Interment will be private at Calvary Ceme- tery in Anoka.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred, inquire at Cavallin Funeral Home.
