Hubert Swanson

Hubert E. Swanson, 78, Two Harbors, died Tuesday, Jan. 26 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Hubert was born Nov. 23, 1931, to Arvid and Margaret Swanson in Two Harbors, where he grew up and attended school.

He worked for the Forest Service planting trees for several years, and spent winters in Florida, where he was a parking lot attendant at the Naples Dog Track. He was a member of Living Waters Fellowship and enjoyed visiting with people.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Don Swanson of Two Harbors; nephews, Ken (Connie) Swanson and Chuck (Susie) Swanson; niece Cheryl Wallat; and several grand nieces and nephews.

Services were Saturday at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
