Molly and Rich Hoeg left Duluth on Aug. 17. They biked along the Wisconsin shore, through the upper peninsula of Michigan, took a ferry to Grand Portage and biked back to Duluth along the North Shore. Their trip was completed in nine days, and they took clothing, their i-Pads, a camera and a tool kit. They traveled 60-80 miles daily and stayed in hotels along the way. Rich took a similar trip with his son, but Molly had little preparation beyond previous marathons and daily training rides.
