As you may read in the Lake County Past column, at one time it was suspected that someone with Lake County connections may have been on the Titanic. It was later learned that he was not, though during a time of scant information, it certainly must have given some people a scare. This article appeared in the April 18, 1912 issue of The Journal-News, just days after the Titanic sank.
