Erik Furo, 38, finished the marathon in 4:33:30. His daughter, thirteen-year-old Erika Furo, finished the race one second before her father at 4:33:29. Erik had expected that the two would have a time of about five and a half hours for Saturday’s marathon, with a goal of finishing under six hours with no injuries.
