Lake County commissioners were given a tour of an emergency mobile command vehicle by Lake County Emergency Management Coordinator B.J. Kohlstedt Tuesday. The county took ownership of the vehicle recently because another county didn’t have a place to store it. It will serve 11 surrounding counties for help during emergencies such as large fires. It has satellite technology so if there is a communication breakdown, like the fiber optic line break in January, communications would not be shut down. The county has also has received a $15,000 grant to help make the vehicle more operational. Matt Suoja
