Volunteers dressed in period costumes greeted steam train passengers last summer at the Two Harbors Depot. The Lake County Historical Society has plans for more greeters this year and a guide on the train to talk about Two Harbors and its history and attractions. There is a four-year plan to double ridership on the North Shore Scenic Railroad that runs trains Friday through Sunday from Duluth to the depot. Last year, about 8,000 people made the trip, which includes bus rides to places around the city.
