The Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay recently received a check for $1,050 from the Thunderbird Motorcycle Club for recreational programs at the home. The Thunderbirds have an annual Christmas party at the Two Harbors American Legion to help raise funds for the home. The donation pushes the total to more than $3,000 the last few years. Gary Ganser of the local American Legion Post hosted Ward Wallin from the veterans home and Jack Rose of the Thunderbirds for the check presentation. Matt Suoja
