The Mariner baseball team fell 5-1 to Cook County at home and ended up splitting their two-game season series. The Mariners drop to an overall record of 2-5 with the loss. Dylan Quaife was the winning pitcher for the Vikings and Daniel Wilson took the loss for the Mariners. The Mariners have a rematch with Two Harbors on Monday at Lynch Field. The Agates won 5-4 in eight innings at Two Harbors. The Mariners are at Barnum on Wednesday, and on Thursday they play Northeast Range.By: Steve Gow, Lake County News Chronicle
