Judge lowers height of cell-phone tower planned near Boundary Waters
A judge on Wednesday blocked AT&T’s plan to build a 450-foot cell-phone tower near the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, ruling that the proposed tower with its flashing airplane safety lights would hurt the “scenic and aesthetic resources” of the pristine Northeastern Minnesota wilderness.By: Jeff Baenen , Associated Press
