SB has nothing to do with the honking tree. TH Lighthouse is the logical and ONLY choice!

It sounds good to say that a memorial should represent the entire North Shore, but what could it possibly be? There IS no one thing that represents that entire area AND which could be carved from a tree trunk. However, the Honking Tree grew in Lake County, and Two Harbors is the county seat. Two Harbors also took the lead in finding ways to preserve the felled landmark. I think using the TH lighthouse makes perfect sense.
