It's no surprise that the campground project got the ax by the governor. Just a quick look at the state's budget deficit was enough to warn a person this was coming. A state has to balance it's budget, it can't print money up like the Federal government can. Until tax receipts recover, it is unlikely the money will be forthcoming. That depends on a nation wide economic recovery. Not likely either! We have cuts to local government aid, education, state health care programs and soon we are going to see cuts to public employees. I don't like it anymore than the next guy, but how are we supposed to spend money we don't have? It's going to take some getting used to, but money flowing from the Feds to the States and then down to the cities and counties is pretty much over. Maybe for good.
