I would like to add that Mark Schlangen spoke with me this afternoon, and he was mis-quoted in relation to his knowledge of the trail. I've know Mark for many years, worked with him around the fire dept., as well as on the THHS hiking trails and grounds, and I take him at his word. I should have called him prior to commenting. He, like those of us from the Voyageur Club, don't want this to be developed into a 'polarized' debate or an issue that it isn't. Poor communication by all parties led to some misunderstandings, but we certainly aren't going to let it stop us from working together in the future. Thanks for stopping by and speaking with me Mark, Daniel.
