The Bulldogs (11-13) grabbed a 13-point halftime lead and hung on to top the Mariners (1-19) in their Section 7A game Tuesday in Carlton.
Erik Adams and Lane Empson paced Carlton with 19 and 18 points, respectively, while Silver Bay’s Kyle Blood led all scorers with 38.
Next up for Carlton is No. 2-seeded Floodwood (21-4) Thursday at 7:45 p.m. at Hermantown High School.
