FIRE ALARM SYSTEM OKAYED BY COUNCIL
A new fire alarm system, called a “fire bar” will be an automatic alarm system alerting the homes of all volunteer firemen. The system emits a signal in the home that is continuous rather than interrupted to readily inform the fireman that the call is a fire alarm. It also provides a service where in the homes of 10 firemen a button would be provided which would set off the fire alarm siren. Meanwhile, the siren atop the Two Harbors city hall used as a police call signal will be used henceforth only for fire alarm calls until the new system is in place.
