The Two Harbors Food Shelf Community Garden, now known as the Marek Fuller Community Garden, held its first work day on Saturday, May 18. Over 30 enthusiastic gardeners showed up in the rain to clean garden beds in preparation for spring planting...whenever spring comes. This year, the Master Gardeners of Lake County will have two demonstration plots designed to assist participants in improving their gardening skills. In addition, Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops and several churches will have plots to contribute fresh veggies to the food shelf. In spite of the weather, everyone had a great time.
