It’s National Volunteer Week
A big thank you goes to all the volunteers who make a difference in our communities and another thank you goes to the businesses that are participating in our celebrate service purple ribbon program. When you see someone wearing a purple ribbon, thank them for their contributions.
Your help needed
• The Friends of the Library is seeking a volunteer or two to assist with the transfer of the donated books to a storage area in downtown Two Harbors. The volunteer needs a strong back and arms and a vehicle for transporting the books. The time commitment will be on an as needed basis, probably not more than once or twice a month.
• Two Harbors Food Shelf
Due to recent significant growth in patronage, the Two Harbors Food Shelf is seeking additional volunteers to serve in a variety of capacities. You can choose between assisting on food shelf day, volunteering for the Postal Drive on May 11 and other jobs that might interest you. Time commitment is negotiable depending on your availability and food shelf needs.
If you are interested in these or other volunteer positions, please give Jan a call at 834-2280, ext. 108.
Arrowhead RSVP is part of Senior Corps and sponsored by AEOA. Funding isprovided by the Corporation for National & Community Service; Minnesota Board on Aging; St. Louis and Lake Counties.
