Lake County Fair crew hard at work during the off season
By: From Ann Harrington, Lake County News Chronicle
Several changes are slated for this year’s Lake County Fair. Firstly, the fair will take place Aug. 8-11 instead of at the end of August.
Secondly, the fair will have a new carnival and midway. Fair organizers are excited to announce that Todd Armstrong Shows will be providing carnival rides, games and food vendors to patrons of the Lake County Fair, as it does at fairs, festivals and celebrations throughout the Midwest and South. In addition to thrill rides and family favorites, there will be a complete kiddy land for young fair goers, too. Pre-sale tickets will be available in early summer.
More information will be posted about the exciting changes coming to the Lake County Fair as they happen. Keep up-to-date with fair news at www.thelakecountyfair.com. New fair registration forms are also available on the website.
The Lake County Agricultural Society holds its business meetings the first Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Center meeting room in Two Harbors. Anyone interested in joining the Fair Board or those who have questions, comments or suggestions is welcome to attend. Membership forms are available online at the address above.
The Lake County Fair Grounds are available for rental from May to October. The fair grounds are a great, affordable place for weddings, graduation parties, reunions and so much more. Click on Schedule of Events page online for dates that are still available.
