Al Jouppi, Bob and Gary Nikola, Paul Moran, Paul Hartshorn, Curt Robinson, Doug McKee and Tom Lovdahl recently spent a weekend fishing at the Jouppi-Labounty cabin in Canada, reporting a good time.

Ruth Himes and Judy Martell motored to Forest Lake on Thursday for a nice visit with Eleanor Elmstrom.

On Wednesday some of the Zion Women’s Quilters, Diane Lindberg, Velda Nelson and Judy Martell spent the day in Duluth purchasing additional quilting supplies to make quilts for the Lutheran World Relief Program.

On Saturday, March 9, there will be a cancer benefit held for Mike Maki at National Forest Lodge in Isabella. Proceeds will go to help Mike with his medical expense for the cancer treatment. There will be many bands and live auctions throughout the day. Tickets are $25 in advance and $ 35 at the door. It will be held from 12-10 p.m. A benefit account has also been set up at North Shore Federal Credit Union.
