Judy Lynn Nikula

Judy Lynn Nikula, 74, Finland, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 27.

She was born Jan. 30, 1938, to Earl K Sr. and Vera Wahl in Rockwood, Penn.

Judy and her husband owned and operated the Apollo Inn in Finland from 1974 until 1998. Judy was also postmaster for the United States Postal Service at the Finland Post Office. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a coordinator for the John Beargrease Sled Dog Race. Judy was an avid football, hockey and NASCAR fan, and enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s extra-curricular activities.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Niklula Sr.; and an infant son, John.

Judy is survived by her children, Richard Jr., Michael (Amy), Jeffrey (Tamara) and Wendy (Jon) Goette all of Finland, and Cynthia (Michael) Deitz of Somerset, Penn.; grandchildren Earl Nikula, Melanie (Matthew King), Satrina and Melissa Nikula, Samantha and Cody Goette, Jessica (Jason) Greer, Jeb Deitz, Holly Deitz and Kyle (Stephanie) Deitz; great-grandchildren Sean and Rylee King, Xander Greer and Stowne and Elyse Deitz; brothers Earl K. Jr. (Betty) Wahl and Jon (Laurie) Wahl; and sisters Sharon (Ralph) Pletcher and Melanie (Francis) Deitz,
