A meeting was held on Friday, Jan. 19 at the Clair Nelson Center to start planning for a Booya. The group is now the Booya Committee of the Friends of the Finland Community and date for the event has been set: Sept. 14. People are needed to help with the promotions committee and the fund raising committee. Please contact or message Stacy Breden or Julie Arnold to get involved. Another meeting will be held in March. Steve Ingram died suddenly at home on Thursday, Jan. 24. A memorial service is being held on Thursday, Jan. 31, at Zion Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. Deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends.
Honor Schauland and Jeff Mitchell held a housewarming party on Friday afternoon and evening for friends and neighbors. Enjoy your new home!
A correction in last week’s news column: the baby shower held for Ava Arnold was hosted by Stacy Breden and Diane Lindberg.
Deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Judy Nikula. Judy died on Sunday, Jan. 27 in St. Luke’s Hospital.
