Zion Lutheran Church held its Christmas Eve Candle Light service at 4:30 on Dec. 24.

Dale and Joretta Nikula, Art Fenstad and Bill and Ruth Rabold attended the Memorial Service for Francis “Barney” Haga on Friday at the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Duluth. Barney passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, at the age of 92. Barney was a Forest Ranger in Finland back in the early 1950’s. Deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Barney.

Deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Noreen Ege. Noreen died on Monday, Dec. 10, in Diamond Willow Lester Park Assisted Living in Duluth at the age of 74.Noreen was a life time resident of Little Marais. A service will be held in the spring at the United Protestant Church.

Also deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Gladys Lorntson. Gladys died on Saturday, Dec. 15, in Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors at the age of 77. A service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Faith Lutheran Church in Silver Bay. Burial was at the Beaver Bay Cemetery.

North Shore Voices held a holiday concert at Zion Lutheran Church on Thursday evening that was enjoyed by all.
