Letter to the editor: Make the Place a priority

Reclaiming The Place as a teenage center has been on my mind for at least 19 years. I devoted eight years of my life (1985-93) to help provide what kids needed and found that it was worth the effort. I know that with the right dedication of a number of concerned citizens, we can provide a safe, fun place for our teenagers again. They deserve this much.
Volunteers helped us give our teenagers their pace to be kids. I believe it can be done again. Our city owes our children this and it should be a No. 1 priority not to be tabled.
