When the Zion Church Ladies were preparing for their annual fall bazaar, the Tuesday Talents Craft Group, which usually meets at the church, took advantage of the day off for a road trip to the Iron Range. They visited area fabric and quilt shops in Hibbing, Hoyt Lakes and Chisholm.

The highlight of their visit to the area, however, was lunch at Hibbing Community College where Austin Jarvis is a Culinary Arts student. The HCC cafeteria is open to the public for lunches on weekdays from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. There are a variety of offerings to choose from each day and the food is prepared and served by the Culinary Arts students.

As the Tuesday Talent ladies were finishing up their lunch, staff and teachers came out to introduce themselves and answer questions. Austin then gave the group a tour of the food prep and service area, and explained different equipment and its use in commercial food preparation.

Craft Group members attending were: Linda Holden, Kay Ojala, Vera Kuehl, Bonnie Sundvick, Harriet Moen, Sandy Manning, Joni Jarvis, Rita Ryan, Anne Adams, Deanne Reiten, Jackie Gomez and Jody McDonnell.
